24、cimens(weldedandunwelded)shallbecutperpendiculartotheweldedjointatleasteighthoursafter welding. Eachtestspecimenshallbemarkedinordertoidentifyitsoriginalpositionwithinthetestpiece. Noheattreatmentormechanicalstraighteningoperationsshallbecarriedoutonthetestspecimen. 6 Dimensionsoftestspecimens Thedi

26、tspecimens ThetensiletestspecimensshallbecutwithparallelsidesasshowninFigure1. Duringcutting,heatingofthetestspecimenshallbeminimized. Theradiusedportionsofthetestspecimenshallbesmoothbutthesurfacefinishoftheotherremainingedgesis notcritical. Aftercutting,avisualexaminationoftheweld,accordingtoEN131

27、001,shallbecarriedoutandrecorded. 8 Mechanicaltesting Testspecimensshallbeconditionedatatemperatureof(23 2)Cfornotlessthan12hfortestspecimen thicknesseslessthanorequalto12mm,orfornotlessthan24hfortestspecimenthicknessesgreaterthan 12mm.Unlessotherwisespecified,thetemperatureofthetestspecimenatthebeg

28、inningofthetestshallbe (23 2)C. ThetestspeedsandtolerancesshallbeinaccordancewithENISO5271. ExamplesoftestspeedsforsomerelevantthermoplasticsmaterialsarelistedinannexA. Anextensometershallbeattachedtoeithersideofthespecimenwaistedsection,betweentheloadingholes(see Figure1),tomeasuretrueelongationoft

29、hespecimenduringthetest.Theextensometershallcomplywith ENISO5271. Thecompleteload/extensioncurveandfailuremode(brittle,ductileormixed)shallberecordedforeachspecimen. Atleastfivetestspecimensshallbetestedforeachweldedandunweldedtestpiece. Weldedandunweldedtestspecimensshallbeofthesamegeometryandshall

30、betestedatthesamespeed. 9 Testequipment ThetestequipmentshallconformtotherequirementsgiveninISO5893. Thecrossheaddisplacementshallbecontinuous,uniformandinaccordancewithclause8ofthisstandard. 10 Determinationofthetensileenergyweldingfactor Inordertodeterminethetensileenergyweldingfactor,weldedandunw

31、eldedtestspecimensshallbetested. Thetensileenergyweldingfactorisdeterminedfromthearithmeticmeanvaluesoftheenergytobreakofthe weldedtestspecimens( E w )andtheunweldedtestspecimens( E r ). Tensileenergyweldingfactor, r w e E E f =EN128147:2002(E) 7 ThevaluesofE w andE r aredeterminedfromtheareasundert

32、heload/extensioncurvesoftheweldedand unweldedtestspecimens,respectively,andcanbedeterminedusinganelectronicintegrator,planimeter,counting squaresorweighingthecutoutcurve. Atleasttentestspecimens(fiveweldedandfiveunwelded)shallbeusedintheevaluationofthetensileenergy weldingfactor.Notestspecimenshallb
