WARNINGBoldmaterials4.6and6.8arenotintendedfortheuseinthescopeofthePressureEquipmentDirective. 4 Classificationofboltmaterials TheclassificationofboltmaterialsasgiveninTable1isbasedonthecomparisono

23、fthestrengthsoftheflange materialandtheboltmaterial.Thestrengthratioroftheflange/boltcombinationchoseniscomparedwiththe strengthratiooftheflangeboltcombinationusedforthestandardflangecalculation(seeannexA). Foreachflangematerialgrouptheclassificationisdoneinthreestrengthlevels: Lowstrength: Thestren

24、gthratioofthechosenflange/boltcombinationislessthanthatusedinthe standardflangecalculation. Theseboltsmaybeusedforlesssevereservice,e.g.forwaterserviceorincaseofoversizedflanged joints.Fordefinitionoftheseserviceconditions,specialexperienceisnecessaryotherwisearecalculationof theflangedjointshallbed

25、one. Normalstrength: Thestrengthratioofthechosenflange/boltcombinationissimilar(withindefinedlimits) tothatusedinthestandardflangecalculation. TheseboltsmaybeusedforallserviceintherangeoftheP/Tratingsunlessthereareotherrestrictionsto thecontrary. Highstrength: Thestrengthratioofthechosenflange/boltc
