This British Standard specifies dimensions and tolerances for hook-on fittings for manufacturers to produce such devices to consistent dimensions, to enable safe interchangeability within each type and to minimize leakage of anaesthetic agent. Requirements for the performance of the connecti

8、on between vaporizers and anaesthetic gas delivery devices are given in BS EN 740. This publication does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. 10、pecifies dimensions for two types of hook-on fitting, including interlocking pins, for use in connecting vaporizers to anaesthetic gas delivery devices. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. BS EN ISO 4135, Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment Vocabulary. 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this British Standard the definitions given in BS EN ISO 4135 a

12、pply, together with the following. 3.1 hook-on fitting specific interface between a vaporizer and an anaesthetic gas delivery device that allows the removal of a vaporizer from its position of use without the use of tools 3.2 interlocking pin pin that is activated when a vaporizer is turned on and p

13、revents any adjacent vaporizers being turned on simultaneously 4 Dimensions for hook-on vaporizer fittings and interlocking pins 4.1 Type A The dimensions of hook-on fittings of type A shall be in accordance with Figure 1 and Figure 2. The female part of the spring fastener (item 1, Figure 1) shall

14、be set along the centre line of the bore and shall be 7 mm in diameter with a specification of DZUS 1)s-spring s4-200. The male part of the spring fastener (item 6, Figure 2) shall be a DZUS 1)standard size 4 cam profile. The “O” ring (item 2, Figure 1) shall have an inside diameter of 14 mm, a cros

15、s-sectional area of 2.62 mm 2 and a shore hardness of 40 to 50, and shall be made of nitrate, viton or neoprene. The pin hole (item 7, Figure 2) for the locating pin (item 3, Figure 1) shall have a diameter of 8 mm and a depth of 7 mm. 4.2 Type B The dimensions of hook-on fittings of type B shall be

16、 in accordance with Figure 3 and Figure 4. The locking pin (item 5, Figure 3) shall be 50 mm long in its “unlocked” position.
