6、iological factors to be considered when designing equipment for use with oxygen. It partially supersedes BS 3N 100 which was withdrawn upon publication of all seven parts. The start and finish of text introduced or altered by Amendment No.1 is indicated in the text by tags !“. BS 4N 100 consists of

It specifies the design of test rigs and test apparatu

15、n; compressed, high purity, oil-free for all applications. 1) 3 Apparatus and materials 3.1 Test rigs 3.1.1 Test rigs shall be fitted with a filtration system to safeguard against the ingress or transmission of contaminants. To avoid particle contamination of the item under test, a 5 m (nominal) fil
16、ter should be fitted as near to the test connection as possible. 3.1.2 Fittings used for connecting an item of oxygen equipment to a test rig shall be cleaned internally and externally to be free from contaminants. Their design shall be such that the generation of swarf or other particles cannot occ
17、ur during connection or disconnection, or enter the item. 3.1.3 Test rigs shall be constructed from valves, components and equipment which conform to the material selection and cleanliness criteria as defined in BS 4N 100-6 and BS 4N 100-7, even if the test medium is not oxygen. 3.1.4 Quick opening
18、valves or designs that can cause rapid (adiabatic) pressurization, especially in flexible pipelines or hoses, shall not be used. 3.1.5 Ensure that any oxygen vented by test rig or equipment under test does not accumulate or impinge on any electrical component or heated non-approved material surfaces
19、 (see BS N 100-6). 3.1.6 Site the test rig and equipment away from any uncontrolled heat source. NOTE Most tests are defined at NTP conditions, i.e. 101.3 kPa (1013 mbar) pressure and 15 C temperature. WARNING NOTE Test rigs should be identified by permanent labelling with the words “For use with ox
20、ygen equipment only”. !3.1.7 Ensure that all parts of the test rig are electrically bonded together and that the maximum resistance to ground from any part is 1 ohm. The maximum resistance to ground from the item under test through any connection to the test rig shall be 1 ohm. “ 1) Obtainable from

22、he selected simulated altitude. 3.2.2 The type of vacuum system utilized shall be safe for the passage of pure oxygen. Material selection shall be in accordance with the requirements of BS N 100-6. 3.3 Liquefied gases Tests on liquid oxygen equipment requiring a liquefied gas shall be carried out us
