6、G Lite metadata XML schema is: http:/www.atis.org/ServiceDelivery/IPTV/EPG/2/schema The recommended abbreviation for this schema is “epg”, defined by: xmlns:epg=“http:/www.atis.org/ServiceDelivery/IPTV/EPG/2/schema“ This is the same namespace that is used for the EPG Full Profile XML schema. The EPG

7、 Lite XML schema file that accompanies this standard contains declarations of types additional to those in the EPG Full XML schema. It incorporates the EPG Full XML schema via an “include” ATIS-0800046 3 statement, so that any types in the EPG Full schema and referenced in the definitions of these a

8、dditional types will be present, thereby resulting in a valid schema. This EPG Lite XML schema file can be used to validate EPG Lite XML documents. Note, however, that only the EPGMainLite delivery fragment is a valid XML document under the schema, since the top-level elements in the other delivery

9、fragments are not valid root elements. Therefore, in order to validate the other fragments, they need to be inserted into the framework of the EPGMainLite element. (The situation is similar for validating EPG Full fragments. They need to be inserted into the framework of the EPGMain element.) 4.2 EP

10、G Lite XML Schema The XML schema for the EPG Lite Profile is derived from the EPG Full XML schema defined in section 5 of ATIS-0800020 1 by imposing restrictions on certain XML type definitions, as specified in the remainder of this section. The new Lite types derived in this way are defined in the

11、“epg:” name space, but have new type names. The elements corresponding to these new Lite types shall retain their original names, except for the “EPGMain” element. The element in the EPG Lite Profile corresponding to the “EPGMain” element shall be named “EPGMainLite”. Thus, when elements and attribu

12、tes are described as being in the EPG Lite Profile, that means they are contained in (are descendents of) the “EPGMainLite element”. Certain classification schemes from the EPG Main Profile are excluded from the EPG Lite Profile, and certain elements of two of the retained classifications schemes ar

13、e excluded from use in the EPG Lite Profile. Any of the EPG Full XML type definitions and classification scheme definitions not mentioned in this section shall remain unchanged in the EPG Full Profile and simply be referenced as needed in the EPG Lite Profile. The XML type of a number of elements in

14、 the EPG Full Profile is mpeg7:TextualType. In the EPG Lite Profile, the optional “phoneticTranscription” and “phoneticAlphabet” attributes of such elements shall not appear. 4.2.1 EPGMainLiteType The type of the “EPGMainLite” element shall be the “epg:EPGMainLiteType”. The definition of the “epg:EP

15、GMainLiteType” shall be derived from the definition of the “epg:EPGMainType” in the EPG Full Profile by modifying the type definition of its “ProgramDescription” element as specified in section 5.2.2 below. The types of the other child elements of the “EPGMainLite” element shall remain unchanged. 4.

16、2.2 ProgramDescriptionLiteType The type of the “ProgramDescription” element in the EPG Lite Profile shall be the “epg:ProgramDescriptionLiteType”. The “epg:ProgramDescriptionLiteType” definition shall be derived from the definition of the “epg:ProgramDescriptionType” in the EPG Full Profile by exclu

17、ding certain child elements as indicated in Table 1 below and modifying the type definition of all the other child elements, except for the “PurchaseInformationTable” element, as specified in the remainder of section 5.2. 19、s of the tables in the “ProgramDescription” element in the EPG Lite Profile, with the exception of the “PurchaseInformationTable”, shall be obtained by putting “Lite” immediately before “Type” in the type names of the corresponding types in the EPG Full Profile. The definitions of these Lite table t

20、ypes shall be obtained by putting “Lite” immediately before “Type” in the type names of the sub-elements in the corresponding types in the EPG Full Profile. The “PurchaseInformationTable” shall retain the same type name and definition in the EPG Lite Profile as in the EPG Full Profile. For example,
