Scope1.1 This specification covers cured-in-place thermosettingresin pipe (CIPP), 4 through 132-in. (100
3、 through 3353-mm)equivalent diameter, for use in gravity flow systems forconveying sanitary sewage, storm water, and certain industrialwastes. This specification is suited for the evaluation andtesting of materials used in the rehabilitation of existing pipesby the installation and cure of a resin-i
4、mpregnated fabric liner.1.2 This specification can also be extended to cover man-holes, pump stations, wetwells, vaults, storage tanks, and othersimilar structures where a cured in place liner using thermo-setting resin is applicable.1.3 The values given in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the

Terminology3.1 GeneralDefinitions are in accordance with Termi-nologies D 883 and F 412. Abbreviations are in accordancewith Terminology D 1600, unless other
12、wise indicated.3.2 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.2.1 cured-in-place pipe (CIPP)hollow cylinder or shapeconsisting of a fabric with cured (cross-linked) thermoset resin;interior or exterior plastic tube coatings, or both, may beincluded; this pipe is formed within and takes the sha

16、ubea flexible material formed into a tubularshape which during the installation process is saturated withresin and holds the resin in place during the cure.3.2.5 fully deteriorated pipethe original pipe is not struc-turally sound and cannot support soil and live loads or isexpected to reach this con
17、dition over the design life of therehabilitated pipe.3.2.6 lifta portion of the CIPP that has pulled away fromthe existing conduit wall and formed a reverse (inward)curvature of the CIPP relative to the existing conduit.3.2.7 partially deteriorated pipethe original pipe cansupport the soil and live
18、loads throughout the design life of therehabilitated pipe. The soil adjacent to the existing pipe mustprovide adequate side support. The pipe may have longitudinalcracks and some distortion of the diameter.3.2.8 qualification testone or more tests used to prove thedesign of a product; not a routine
19、quality control test.3.2.9 quality assurance testone or more tests used toverify the physical properties of the CIPP.3.2.10 quality control testone or more tests used by themanufacturer of the tube during manufacture or assembly.3.2.11 tube coatinga plastic coating on the outside orinside surface, o

Classification4.1 Types of CIPP:4.1.1 Type IDesigned to provide chemical resistance andprevent exfiltration.4.1.2 Type IIInstalled in a partially deteriorated existingpipe or structure and is designed to provide chemical resis-tance, prevent exfiltration and infiltratio
21、n, and support theexternal hydrostatic loads due to groundwater only (andinternal vacuum, where applicable), since the soil and liveloads can be supported by the original conduit or structure.4.1.3 Type IIIInstalled in a fully deteriorated existing pipeor structure and designed to provide chemical r
22、esistance,prevent exfiltration and infiltration, and support all externalhydraulic, soil, and live loads acting on the original conduit orstructure.4.2 Grades of CIPP:4.2.1 Grade 1Thermosetting polyester resin.4.2.2 Grade 2Thermosetting polyester resin.4.2.3 Grade 3Thermosetting epoxy resin.NOTE 2Fo
23、r the purposes of this specification, polyester includes vinylester resins.NOTE 3The purchaser should determine or consult the manufacturerfor the proper type and grade CIPP to be used under the installation andoperation conditions that will exist for the project in which the pipe/structure is to be

Materials and Manufacture5.1 GeneralThe resins, fabric tube, tube coatings, fillers,and other materials, when combined as a composite structure,shall produce a pipe/structure that meets the requirements ofthis specification.5.2 CIPP Wall CompositionThe wall shall consist of afabric tube and
