Materials and Manufacture3.1 Coal tar roof cement shall consist of a processed coal tarbase, volatile solvents, and mineral fillers including asbestosfibers, mixed to a smooth, uniform consistency suitable fortrowel application.4. Composition4.1 The composition of coal tar roof ceme

7、nt shall conformto the requirements prescribed in Table 1.5. Performance Requirements5.1 UniformityA thoroughly stirred sample shall show noseparation of solvent or settling that cannot be overcome bymoderate stirring after standing for 72 h at room temperature ina closed container.5.2 WorkabilityTh

8、e cement shall be of such a consistencythat it will spread readily and permit troweling smooth coatings1.6 to 3.2 mm (116 to18 in.) thick on vertical surfaces.5.3 Behavior at 60C (140F)The cement shall show noevidence of blistering, and the sag or slide shall be no greaterthan6mm(14 in.).5.4 Adhesio

Packaging and Package Marking10.1 The material shall be suitably packaged to permitacceptance by the carrier and to afford adequate protectionfrom the normal hazards of handling and shipment.10.2 Each container shall be plai

16、nly marked with the ASTMdesignation, name, brand or trademark of the manufacturer orsupplier, the net contents, and wording indicating the materialcontains asbestos.
