Scope1.1 This specification covers the standardization of the pipesizes and types of threads used to join im

3、pervious graphite pipeand fittings. The thread standards may also be applied toimpervious carbon pipe and fittings. It is limited to physicaldimensions.2. Terminology2.1 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:2.1.1 impervious graphitemanufactured graphite that hasbeen impregnated with a resi

4、nous material to make the finalarticle impervious to liquids in the recommended operatingrange.2.1.2 impervious carbonthe same as impervious graphitewith the exception that the base stock has not been graphitized.3. Requirements for Impervious Graphite Pipe3.1 The eight standard pipe sizes are shown

5、 in Table 1 withpermissible variations in dimensions.3.2 Fig. 1 gives the male thread dimensions for imperviousgraphite pipe.3.3 Fig. 2 gives the female thread dimensions for impervi-ous graphite fittings.4.
