Scope*1.1 This specification establishes requirements and testmethods for materials, impact strength, appearance, surfaceflame spread, a
3、nd wind load resistance of siding productsmanufactured from polypropylene material. Methods of indi-cating compliance with this specification are also provided.1.2 The use of polypropylene recycled plastic in this prod-uct shall be in accordance with the requirements in Section 4.1.3 Siding produced
4、 to this specification shall be installed inaccordance with manufacturers installation instructions for thespecific product to be installed.NOTE 1Information with regard to siding maintenance shall beobtained from the manufacturer.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the st

20、athing material designed and attached such that itis capable of resisting 100% of positive and negative windpressures occurring under design conditions at the buildinglocation; and 2) with the standard fastening method specified inbuilding codes, general installation instructions, and the sidingmanu
21、facturers instructions.3.2.5 alternative wind load design pressure ratingthewind load design pressure rating for a siding product wheninstalled over a sheathing not designed and attached such thatit is capable of resisting 100 % of positive and negative windpressures occurring under design condition
22、s at the buildinglocation, or when the siding is not fastened in the standard way;as specified by the manufacturer3.2.5.1 DiscussionThe standard test conditions,configuration, and fastening method used in this Specificationare specified in 6.4, while alternative sheathing and installationconditions
23、are specified by the manufacturer and must bereflected in the products installation instructions. Alternativeratings apply only when the specified sheathing and fasteningconditions are used. See Annex A1 for information on differ-ences between the standard wind load design pressure ratingand alterna
