14、einendurch Kontaktproben (Abdruckproben). Dazu wirdein Kontaktmedium mit adhsiver Oberflche auf diezu beprobende Stelle aufgedrckt. Der Staub bleibthaften und die Probe wird anschlieend im Labor b-licherweise mittels REM/EDXA (Rasterelektronen-mikroskopie/energiedispersive Rntgenanalyse) un-tersucht

15、.Anmerkung: Ist die Staubschicht sehr dick, lsst sich der Staubauch als Pulverprobe sammeln und licht- oder elektronenmikrosko-pisch untersuchen (siehe Anhang).Ein wesentlicher Unterschied zwischen Kontaktpro-ben zur Bestimmung von Oberflchenkontaminatio-nen und Filterproben von Luftmessungen, z.B.

16、nachVDI 3492, liegt im hufigeren Auftreten von Faser-strukturen, deren Abmessungen grer sind als dievon alveolengngigen Fasern. Die Auswertung vonLuftproben erfolgt wirkungsbezogen, das heit imHinblick auf alveolengngige, biologisch wirksameFasern, die Auswertung von Kontaktproben dagegeneher risiko

17、bezogen, das heit im Hinblick auf das Fa-serfreisetzungspotenzial.Kontaktproben werden in der Praxis hufig im Zu-sammenhang mit Asbestsanierungen genommen undqualitativ und (halb-)quantitativ auf den Fasergehalthin ausgewertet. Korrelationen zwischen den Ergeb-nissen der Analyse von Kontaktproben un

21、ionThe sampling of settled dust on surfaces with a viewto then determining its inorganic fibre content is gen-erally carried out by means of tape samples. To do soa contact medium with an adhesive surface is pressedonto the place to be sampled. The dust sticks to themedium and the sample is then exa

22、mined in the labo-ratory, normally by SEM/EDXA (scanning electronmicroscope/energy-dispersive X-ray analysis).Note: If the layer of dust is very thick the dust can also be collectedas a powder sample and examined by optical or electron microscope(see Annex).A major difference between tape samples fo

23、r deter-mining surface contamination and filter samples usedin air measurement, in accordance e.g. with VDI 3492,lies in the more frequent occurrence of fibre struc-tures whose dimensions are larger than alveolar fi-bres. Air samples are evaluated on the basis of effect,i.e., with respect to alveola

24、r, biologically effective fi-bres, while tape samples tend on the other hand to beevaluated on the basis of risk, i.e., with respect to thepotential for releasing fibres.In practice, tape samples are frequently taken in con-nection with asbestos removal work and evaluatedqualitatively and (semi-)qua

25、ntitatively with regard tofibre content. Correlations between the results ofanalysis of contact samples and concentrations inroom air are absent.The series of guidelines of VDI 3877 consists of twoparts: Part 1 deals with sampling, sample analysis andthe documentation of results while Part 2 is conc

Chrysotil, Amphi

Fensterbnke) geeignet.Hinweise zur Differenzierung von Produktfasern undzur Bestimmung organischer Fasern werden gege-ben. Die Bewertung der Ergebniss

The method is usually appliedin indoor environments, but it is also suitable for cer-tain outdoor applications (e.g. window-sills).Guidance on the differentiation of product fibres andon the determination of organic fibres is given. Theassessment of the results is based on a s

35、emi-quantita-tive evaluation method.Under the standard conditions specified in this guide-line the detection limit of the method is approx. 40 fi-brous structures per cm2 of surface area.It is not permissible to assess the indoor air quality bymeans of tape sample analyses.The method is not suitable

46、ers to the display screen which isused for sample evaluation.3 Principle of the methodSampling is carried out by collecting dust on an adhe-sive medium (e.g. tape), which is pressed onto thesurface being examined. The sampling medium, or apiece of it, is prepared as a sample for examination bySEM/ED

47、XA. The sample is examined in the SEMwithout any modification of the collected dust. Thefibrous structures are measured according to definedcriteria on randomly selected fields of view distrib-uted over the entire sample, counted, and classifiedaccording to substance. Classification is based on theE
