Introduction1GPRS-136 is the packet data service provided in TIA/EIA-136 (also known as2UWC-136). A general description

24、 of the System Architecture and Protocol Descriptions3is provided in TIA/EIA-136-330.4To provide high data rates, GPRS-136 uses a 200 kHz channel, also known as a 136HS5Outdoor bearer. The upper layers of the GPRS-136 protocol stack are common6throughout UWC-136, applying to each individual bearer (

25、136+, 136HS Outdoor, and7136HS Indoor). This document provides an Overview of the 136HS Outdoor bearer,8configured as a packet traffic channel (PTCH), for GPRS-136. An RLC/MAC entity for9the 136HS Outdoor bearer is specified in TIA/EIA-136-342 and a Physical Layer is10specified in TIA/EIA-136-341.11

If this2overview conflicts with TIA/EIA-136-341 then TIA/EIA-136-341 shall govern.32.1 Multiple access4The access scheme is Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) with from one to eight

27、5basic physical channels per carrier. The carrier spacing is 200 kHz. A physical channel is6therefore defined as a sequence of TDMA frames and a time slot number (modulo 8).7The 136HS Outdoor bearer TDMA frame (136HS Outdoor bearer frame) structure is8shown in Figure 19Figure 1 136HS Outdoor Bearer
