13、 that the material to which this specification applies will meet the dimensional requirements shown on the applicable drawings. If so stipulated in the contract, order, or requisition, the Government will furnish drawings of pertinent Navy Final Inspection Gages for guidance in the design of the con

14、tractors inspection gages. However, such procedure shall not serve to relieve thecontractor of his responsibility, in the design and manufacture of such gages as may be required in the satisfactory fulfillr;?erit of the contract requirements, but is intended to facilitate acceptanec: of all componen

15、ts and assemblies by Navy Final Inspection Gages. 3.2.6 Threads. - Unless otherwise specified, all threads shall be in accordance with the National Wireau of Staniclardu Handbook H28. The class or fit for threads shall be as specified on the applicable draw- ings, and the NOT-GO gaging practice shal

20、r to approval of the contracting activ- ity or the completion of tests on preproduction samples shall be at the contractors risk. 4.1.3 Lot size. - As applied to Government inspection of units of product the term lot“ shall mean “Inspection lot“ i,e, u collection of units of product subinitted by a

21、supplier for Government inspection. Unless otherwise speci- fied, the number of units of product in “inspection lots“ will hc as detcrmincd by the Covernmcnt Inspector und niay differ from the uuiitity designated in the contract or order in a lot for pro 1 uction, shipment or other purpose, 4.1.4 Pe

22、riodic production samnles, - From each SUC- ceeding lot or grand lot of three hundred (300) or less, a random sample of six (6) hydrostatic switches will be selected by the Government inspector for submission to a Bureau of Naval Weapons designated activity to determine compliance of tlie samples wi

23、th the requirements of the cun- tract, specification and drawings. The sample shall be con- sidered satisfactory only if each unit meets the performance requirements and product characteristics of 3.4 and the environmental requirements of 3.5. required by tlie procuring activity, tlie contractor is

The test equipm

28、ent shall be adequate in quantity, and when definite requirements are not specified they shall be of sufficient accuracy and quality to permit performance gf the required acceptance tests; 4.5.4 Test procedure. 4*5,4*1 Pressure response, - The pressure response test shall be accomplished in tho foll

31、anner: i. Connect external source of air or hydraulic pressure to the stem of the hydrostatic switch. 2. Connect suitable meter across the electrical leads of the hydrastatic switch. 3. Apply pressure of 6 psi maximum to the stem orifice of the hydrostatic switch and measure resistance of circuit th

32、rough electrical leads. 1 4. Reduce pressure of 3 psi minimum. Any hydrostatic switch which indicates a resistance of greater than 0.2 ohms at 6 psi maximum or which fails ta, open upon reduction of pressure to 3 psi minimum shall be regarded as defective.
