7、 (revised 1992) 1 Definition The Closed User Group supplementary service enables users to form groups, to and from which access is restricted. A specific user may be a member of one or more Closed User Groups. Members of a specific Closed User Group can communicate among themselves but not, in gener

8、al, with users outsi - Closed User Group with incoming access (c + i); - - A user may subscribe to one of two additional access restrictions within each particular CUG - - Note - This information is held by the provider of this service. Outgohg calls barred within the CVG: This access restricion means that a CUG-user is prohibited from making calls to users subscribed to the same CUG. This access restriction is given per CUG user and CUG (see case 3 in Figure lfi.255.1). b) The network

14、 shall provide a preferential CUG option whereby one of the users CUGs (or the only one if a single CUG applies) is used as a preferential CUG. if the user sets up a ca with no CUG facility request, the network assumes that the preferenitial CUG is requested (i.e., preferential CUG is the default).

16、 users CUG(s) (see cases 4,5, and 6 in Figure lA.255.1). 2.1.1.3 CUG with incoming access The user may make and receive calls in the same way with the same exceptions as in 8 2.1.1.1. in addition, this user may receive calls from any non-CUG user and also from other CUG users who have outgoing acces

Outgoing calls are only allowed to members of the users CUG(s) (see cases 7,8, and 9 in Figure 1A.255.1). 2.1.1.4 CUG with incoming and outgoing access The outgoing access and incoming access can be offered simultaneousiy to the user by the service provider. 2.1.2 Interaction between the options

18、“Preferential CUG” and “Outgoing Access” Both options imply that no subscriber procedures are needed to invoke either of them when placing a call. When a user subscribes to both options, the service provider does not know which option the user is invoking, if no additional subscriber procedures are

19、used when placing the call. Three ways of operating are recommended 1) the user has to indicate if a call is intended to be an outgoing access call. If no information (CUG request or outgoing ca request) is given, the preferentiai CUG is assumed, the combination of the options is not dowed, i.e. a u

20、ser cannot have both options aliocated at the same time; 2) 3) the caller may make a ca and the network will route the call with the preferential CUG and an outgoing access request The call wili therefore be connected if the ded number is a member of the Preferential CUG or is a member of a differen
