Test pieces shall have parallel top and bott
9、om surfaces and vertical sides and be (501) mm long, (501) mm wide and (251) mm thick and taken from the representative of material. The areas of complete components from which test pieces shall be taken may be indicated on drawings, specifications etc. For thinner components than required thickness
10、, thickness shall be adjusted by plying up. 3.2.2 Preparation of Test Pieces. 3.2.2.1 Test pieces shall be taken from the complete component using the cutting dies, stamp or saw etc. and indicated on material specifications and drawings. 3.2.2.2 The direction exerting pressure force over the test pi
11、ece shall be same as real conditions. 3.2.3 Number of Test Pieces. A minimum of 3 test pieces shall be tested. If any individual measured value differs by more than 20 % from the arithmetic average of 3 test pieces, 2 further test pieces shall be tested and the arithmetic average of all 5 test piece
12、s recorded. 4 Procedures 4.1 Conditioning. 4.1.1 For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, tests shall not be performed less than 7 days after manufacture and for routine quality control, not less than 72 hours after manufacture. 4.1.2 Prior to test, test pieces shall be dried for 3 hour
