SCOPE 1.1 This Standard applies to cor
19、d-connected, motor-operated floor surfacing and cleaning machines rated at 600 volts or less which are designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, on an ac or dc circuit. 1.2 This Standard applies to commercial and industrial floor polishing machines, fl
20、oor scrubbing machines, sanders, grinders or other types of surfacing machines of the hand-propelled or self-propelled type. It also applies to rug scrubbers and shampooing machines and machines combining any of these features for household, commercial or industrial use. 1.3 This Standard does not a
21、pply to household floor polishers which are covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 67, Vacuum Cleaners and Floor Polishers, or to hand-held polishers, sanders, and floor edgers which are covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 71, Portable Electric Tools. 2. DEFINITIONS 2.1 The following definitions apply in t
22、his Standard: Floor polishing machine means a polishing machine not intended to be used with water or other cleaning liquids; Concentrated weight machine means a machine whose weight is entirely supported by the brush; Divided weight machine means a machine whose weight is supported by the wheels as
23、 well as the brush; Floor scrubbing machine means a machine intended for wet scrub- bing of floors or rugs; Floor surfacing machine means a machine intended for the condi- tioning of floors by sanding, grinding, steel-wooling, or similar operations. 3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 General requirements a
