To prepare and publish standards, reports and other publications concerned with all matters relating to the science, technology and art in the fields of light and lighting. 5. To maintain liaison and technical

5、 interaction with other international organizations concerned with matters related to the science, technology, standardisation and art in the fields of light and lighting. The work of the CIE is carried on by seven Divisions each with about 20 Technical Committees. This work covers subjects ranging

6、from fundamental matters to all types of lighting applications. The standards and technical reports developed by these international Divisions of the CIE are accepted throughout the world. A plenary session is held every four years at which the work of the Div isions and Technical Committees is revi

7、ewed, reported and plans are made for the future. The CIE is recognised as the authority on all aspects of light and lighting. 33、LLUMINANTS Summary This Technical Report gives an overview of the construction of the tables describing CIE D illuminants, and proposes two methods to smooth the daylight illuminant spectral power distributions. The first method keeps the values originally determined at the integer 10 nm intervals u

34、nchanged and interpolates between these fixed points to get smooth (twice differentiable) curves (minimal smoothing method). A second alternative method smoothes more strongly, cutting fine structure maxima and minima of the spectrum (highly smoothing method). Examples show the consequences of both

35、methods, pointing out that smoothing has little influence on colorimetric accuracy. The Technical Committee recommends testing the provided tables based on the two smoothing algorithms in practice and to urge users to test data of Table 4 which are based on the highly smoothing method, and ask instr

36、ument constructors to test the method for building D illuminant simulators with the eventual outcome of defining a CIE D50 and D65 standard source. Es werden zwei Methoden zur Glttung der spektralen Strahlung

Die erste Methode lsst die Originalwerte im Abstand von 10 nm unverndert und interpoliert nur zwischen diesen Fixpunkten, um eine geglttete (zweimal differenzierbare) Kurve zu erhalten (Minimale Glttungsmethode). 44、nis, CIE-Normlichtquellen D50 und D65 zu definieren. CIE 204:2013 1 1 Introduction Natural daylight was and still is the most common source of light in our environment. Our visual system likely evolved primarily for seeing under daylight conditions. It was thus natural that colorimetry should also u

45、se daylight as one of its primary illuminants. As documented in Clause 2, the present standard daylight illuminant has a long history, from the early artificial daylight source consisting of an incandescent lamp plus liquid filters to the modern daylight illuminants that exist only as spectral power

46、 distribution (SPD) tables. These tables originally contained the SPD at discrete 10 nm intervals, but the most recent official tables now contain SPD data that have been linearly interpolated for other wavelengths that fall between the original 10 nm locations. This has led to SPDs that change abru

47、ptly at the original locations and are straight lines between them. For many applications, where the energy in the source must be numerically integrated over the visible range of wavelengths, this interpolation has proved unsatisfactory, so CIE Division 1, at its meeting in 2008, decided to investig

48、ate this problem and requested the establishment of the following Technical Committee: CIE TC 1-74, Methods for Re-defining CIE D Illuminants. The Terms of Reference for the new committee were approved by the CIE Board of Administration in February 2009: “To investigate the issue of smoothing the va

49、lues of the D illuminants such as described in CIE 15:2004 Appendix C and to propose the calculation methods for new definitions of the D illuminants.” This Technical Report summarizes the findings of the Technical Committee. 2 History of Daylight Illuminants Through the ages natural daylight has been the principal light source available to humans, so it is only natural that it continues
