29、tspecimens 6.1 Precautionsshallbetakenduringthepreparationofthetestspecimenstoensurethatthetestsampleof sealanttobeexaminedisrepresentativeofthelaboratorysamplefromwhichitistaken.Anylocaloverheatingof thesampleandcontaminationbyoilorothersubstancesduringthepreparationofthetestspecimens,shallbe avoid

32、flushwiththerimofthecontainer. 8.2 Conditionthespecimensinaccordancewith6.2and6.3butensurethatthespecimensareliddedpriorto immersioninthewaterbath. 8.3 Removethespecimenfromthewater,removethelidandperformthetestimmediately.Thetestshallnotbe conductedunderwater.Lightlycoatthesurfaceofthespecimenwitht

33、alcumpowder,removinganyexcessby blowing. 8.4 Positionalightsothatattheinitialcontactoftheballonthepenetrationtoolthesurfaceofthespecimensis notwarmedup. 8.5 Placetheballincontactwiththesurfaceofthespecimenandsetthepenetrometerindicatingdialtozero. 8.6 Releasetheclutchforaperiodof(5,0 0,1)s,thusallow
