Itisnotpossibletodefineperformanceofacopypaperbyphysicalpropertiesalone.Therefore,CEN/TC172hasput asideseveraltechnicalpapercharacteristicsandfocusedondefiningandspecifyingtheequivalentsof“printability“ and“runnability“,aswellasthosepaperpropertiesthatappealdirectlytotheenduser. Sinceast

37、yingprocess.AtthetimeofpreparationofthisEuropean Standardthereisnointernationallyacceptedtestmethodtomeasuredustfromcopypaper 8Packaging 8.1General Toprotectthesheetsfromharmfuleffectsofmechanicalforces,atmosphericconditionsandcontaminationduring inhousestorageanduse,thepapershallbepackedasspecified

38、below.Theinnerpacking,typicallyaream,ora box,shallbetightlyclosed.Theinnerpackagingmaterialmusthaveamoisturebarrier. Fortransportpurposesasecond(allweather)protectivepackingisnecessary. Thepackingmaterialisalsorecommendedtohaveamoisturebarrier. 8.2 Absenceofcontamination Packagingmaterials(frommoist

39、ureprotectivecoatingsandlowmeltingadhesives)shouldnotcontaminatethe paper.Themaximumnumberofpackages,havingmajorcontaminationdefectsshouldnotbegreaterthan2 .A majordefectisdefinedashavingatleastonedimension 1mm. NOTE Sincequalityinspectionwouldbedestructivetothepackages,thisqualitystandardcouldbemet
