Push-fit DWV fittings shall include anelastomeric gasket that shall provide a permanent sealonto the mating connection joint. Joints shall be suitablefor transitions between plastic piping materials.2.4.2 Mate

Elastomeric materials used withinpush-fit DWV fittings shall be free from pitting, cracks,air marks, porosity, and other imperfections that couldaffect performance in service and shall comply withthe test performance requirements specified in ASTMD3212, ASTM F477, or ASTM F913.2.5 Stainless S

48、teelAt a minimum, stainless steel components shall beSeries 300 complying with the requirements of ASTMA240/A240M.3 TESTING REQUIREMENTS3.1 Tests for Push-Fit DWV Fittings3.1.1 General. Tests specified in paras. 3.2 to 3.4 shallbeconductedusing plasticpipe conformingtothe dimen-sional requirements i

49、n ASTM D2665 with the restrainedpipelengthof12in.to36in.(305mmto914mm),andtheunrestrained pipe length of 66 in. to 72 in. (1 676 mm to1 829 mm) per Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3.3.1.2 Coupling.
