ASABE Standards are consensus documents developed and adopted by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers to meet standardization needs within the scope of the Society; principal
3、ly agricultural field equipment, farmstead equipment, structures, soil and water resource management, turf and landscape equipment, forest engineering, food and process engineering, electric power applications, plant and animal environment, and waste management. Standards designated as “ANSI” are American National Standards as are all ISO adoptions published by ASABE. Adoption as an American National Standa
7、rd requires verification by ANSI that the requirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval have been met by ASABE. Consensus is established when, in the judgment of the ANSI Board of Standards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by directly and materially affected
8、interests. Substantial agreement means much more than a simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that all views and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be made toward their resolution. CAUTION NOTICE: ASABE and ANSI standards may be revised or withdrawn at

13、 used in contaminated environments as part of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). This document is intended to be a guide for engineers who are responsible for designs used in agricultural applications and for application specialists who are looking for a filter to be used w
14、hen operating in a specific hazardous environment. Filter performance specifications for the cab and HVAC system will be a primary consideration in this part of the standard. These performance specifications may be used by cab designers and filter manufacturers to develop air purification devices th
15、at can be used in a specific HVAC system for reduction of application specific air-borne contaminants as part of an OHSMS as defined in ANSI/ASABE S613-1. This standard provides guidance for use of these systems and defines a way to test the level of protection provided, as defined by the OHSMS (See

It is expected that other tests may provide cabs that are as well suited for this purpose; it is up to the user to demonstrate equivalency. This standard is not intended t
17、o qualify cabs for use in extreme hazardous or oxygen depleted environments where a pressurized respirator or other high specification protection requirements are required and therefore are not covered by this standard.
