11、l, electrical and associated systems shall be safe, reliable, efficient, durable, easily and safely operable and maintainable, easily and safely accessible, and in compliance with applicable codes as specified. The systems shall be comprised of high quality institutional-class and industrial-class p
12、roducts of manufacturers that are experienced specialists in the required product lines. All construction firms and personnel shall be experienced and qualified specialists in industrial and institutional HVAC or steam boiler plant construction, as applicable. B. Flow Rate Tolerance for HVAC Equipme
13、nt: Section 23 05 93, TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING FOR HVAC. C. Equipment Vibration Tolerance: 1. Refer to Section 23 05 51, NOISE AND VIBRATION CONTROL FOR BOILER PLANT. Equipment shall be factory-balanced to this tolerance and re-balanced on site, as necessary. D. Products Criteria: 1. Standa
14、rd Products: Material and equipment shall be the standard products of a manufacturer regularly engaged in the manufacture of the products for at least 3 years (or longer as specified elsewhere). The design, model and size of each item shall have been in Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction o
15、r networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-11-10 23 05 10 - 3 satisfactory and efficient operation on at least three installations for approximately three years. However, digital electronics devices, software and systems such as controls, instruments, computer work station, shall be the cur
16、rent generation of technology and basic design that has a proven satisfactory service record of at least three years. See other specification sections for any exceptions and/or additional requirements. 2. Refer to Section 23 09 11, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL FOR BOILER PLANT, for quality assurance
17、requirements for boiler plant computer workstation software. 3. All items furnished shall be free from defects that would adversely affect the performance, maintainability and appearance of individual components and overall assembly. 4. Conform to codes and standards as required by the specification
18、s. Conform to local codes, if required by local authorities such as the natural gas supplier, if the local codes are more stringent then those specified. Refer any conflicts to the Resident Engineer (RE). 5. Multiple Units: When two or more units of materials or equipment of the same type or class a
19、re required, these units shall be products of one manufacturer. 6. Assembled Units: Manufacturers of equipment assemblies, which use components made by others, assume complete responsibility for the final assembled product. 7. Nameplates: Nameplate bearing manufacturers name or identifiable trademar
20、k shall be securely affixed in a conspicuous place on equipment, or name or trademark cast integrally with equipment, stamped or otherwise permanently marked on each item of equipment. 8. Asbestos products or equipment or materials containing asbestos shall not be used. E. Equipment Service Organiza
21、tions: 1. Boiler Plants: Service organizations, authorized and trained by the manufacturers of the equipment supplied, shall be located within 100 miles of the project. These organizations shall come to the site and provide acceptable service to restore boiler plant operations within four hours of r
22、eceipt of notification by phone, e-mail or fax in event of an emergency, such as the shut-down of equipment; or within 24 hours in a non-emergency. Submit names, mail and e-mail addresses and phone numbers of service personnel and organizations providing service under these conditions for (as applic
23、able to the project): burners, burner control systems, boiler control systems, pumps, critical instrumentation, computer workstation and programming.
