SCOPE. 1.1 Scope.
2、 This specification establishes the requirements for manu- facture and acceptance of the MARK 38 MOD 2 Fuze Booster, referred to herein as the booster. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS. 2.1 Government documents. 2.1.1 Specifications and standards. Unless otherwise specified, the following specifications and
3、standards of the issue listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DoDISS) specified in the solicitation, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. In the event,
16、 of a conflict be-tween t.he text of this specification and the references cited herein, t.he Lext. of this specification shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 Item description. The booster initiates the warhead of a guided missile and is composed of the components shown on liqure 1. The boost
17、er pellet contains approximately 44 grams of Comiosi t.ion (31-6 explosive. 3.1.1 Government-furnished property. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the Government will furnish the con- tractor with the following in the quantity specified (see 6.2.3): a. b. C. d. Compositio

Explosive Lead, MARK 8 MOD O (LD 480140); approximately 120 percent of the total test quantity requirement. 20、cteristics. 3.2.1 Function and otput. The booster shall function when initiated in accordance with 4.6.1 and the output shall meet the acceptance cri- teria specified in 4.6.1.3. 3.2.2 Environmental conditions. The booster shall not be damaged nor shall safety or subsequent performance be degraded b
21、y exposure to the following environments. 3.2.2.1 Transportation vibration-temperature. After exposure to the environmentof 4.6.2.1, the booster shall be safe (see 6.3) and, when initiated in accordance with 4.6.1, shall function and produce the proper output (see 3.2.1). 3.2.2.2 Temperature - and h
22、umidity. After exposure to the environ- ment of 4.6.2.2, the booster shall be safe (see 6.3) and, when initiated in accordance with 4.6.1 , shall function and produce the proper output (see 3.2.1). 3.2.2.3 Cgtive carry and missile flight vibration. After exposure to the environhentof4.6.2.3, the boo
23、ster shall be safe (see 6.3) and. when initiated in accordance with 4.6.1, shall function and produce the proper output (see 3.2.1). 3.2.3 Environmental safety, _-_ 3.2.3.1 Forty-foot drop. During exposure to the environment of 4.6.3.1, the booster shall not explode nor burn. booster shall be safe (
24、see 6.3) to handle and dispose of. booster shall be safe (see 6.3) to store, handle, and transport. After exposure, the 3.2.3.2 - Jolt. - After exposure to the environment of 4.6.3.2, the 3.2.3.3 Cook-off. During and after exposure to the environment of 4.6.3.3 , the booster shall not detonate. Any
