ITU-T G.9977 (2016)/Cor.1 (08/2017) i Recommendation ITU-T G.9977 Mitigation of interference between DSL and PLC Corrigendum 1 Summary Recommendation ITU-T G.9977 specifies functionality of a mechanism to mitigate in
7、terference caused by in-home powerline communication (PLC) devices to an x-type digital subscriber line (xDSL) network termination (implementing transceivers in compliance with ITU-T Recommendations such as ITU-T G.993.2 and ITU-T G.9701). This Recommendation addresses various in-home network types
8、and wiring topologies. Corrigendum 1 fixes a few errors and inconsistencies. 10、agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a v
11、iew to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommend
12、ations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for concis
13、eness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendat
14、ion is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. I

21、ion marks relative to Recommendation ITU-T G.9977 (2016). 1 Scope This Recommendation specifies functionality of a mechanism to mitigate interference caused by in-home powerline communication (PLC) devices to an x-type digital subscriber line (xDSL) network termination (implementing transceivers in
22、compliance with ITU-T Recommendations such as ITU-T G.993.2 and ITU-T G.9701). This Recommendation addresses various in-home network types and wiring topologies. The coordination of both the xDSL access network and in-home PLC network is facilitated by an arbitration function (AF), in order to reduc
23、e interference and optimize the performance of both networks and meet the throughput requirements to the end customer across both networks, by appropriately configuring relevant parameters of PLC devices and xDSL network termination (NT) based on a coordination policy that is usually determined and
