This standard specifies the test method for water content in anti-freezing solution, brake fluid, washing solution, grease, lubricating oil and etc. 1.2 Applicability. This standard ap

4、plies to the determination of the water present in nonfreezing solution, braking solution, lubricating oil or various types of organic and inorganic substances by Karl Fischer reagent method quantitatively. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise specifi

None 3 Resources 3.1 Equipment and Reagent. 3.1.1 Water Measuring Device. Waste measuring device consists of detective part made of glass electrodes

The water content of specimen shall be calculated by

15、tative reaction between water and iodine or sulfur dioxide in the presence of methyl alcohol and pyridine. The quantity of iodine is in direct proportion to electrolyzed electric capacity according to Faradays law, and water (H2O) 1 mol and iodine 1 mol react quantitatively, so that water can be determined by measuring the electric capacity required f
