ThisPartofEN14469,whichisalignedwithENISO183“PlasticsQualitativeevaluationofthebleedingof colorants(ISO183:1976)“,dealswiththedeterminationofbleeding.Exhaust

29、iveinvestigationanddiscussionhave shownthataseparatestandardontestingofbloomingisnotpracticable.Althoughbloomingofcolouringmaterials dependsinprincipleonthesameparametersasbleeding,itdiffersinthatitislimitedtolowappliedconcentrations whichvaryaccordingtothecolorantused.Practicalexperimentsshowthatev

30、enwhenallthetestconditionsare strictlyobserved,itisnotpossibletoobtainanadequatedegreeofrepeatabilityofbloomingphenomena.Itis importantnottoconfusechalkingorplateoutwithblooming. SincethisPartofEN14469,incontrasttoENISO183,dealsprimarilywiththetestingofpigments,precise specificationshavebeengivenfor
