33、aldirectlyconnectedtotheboilershell. 9.6.2 Thegauge(s)shallbemountedsothatthewaterlevelisvisiblethroughthetransparentmaterialatthe lowestalarmlevel,i.e.atthelowestpermissiblewaterlevel(LWL),whichshallbemarked.Themaximum permissiblewaterlevel,whichshallbespecifiedbytheboilermanufacturer,shallbevisibl

37、renotlessthan15mm. 9.6.5 Wherethewaterlevelgaugeisapartoftheboilershell,therequirementsof9.6.4shallnotapply. 9.7 Steampressureindication 9.7.1 EachboilershallhaveasteampressuregaugeinaccordancewithEN285:1996,6.1.1.2,connectedtothe steamspaceeitherdirectlyorthroughthewaterlevelgaugecolumnoritssteamco

38、nnection. 9.7.2 Thesteampressuregaugeshallbeconnectedtoasiphonorsimilardeviceofsufficientcapacitytokeep thegaugetubefilledwithwater.Thepipeshallbeofsufficientsizeandshallhaveprovisionforblowingthroughif possible.Alternativelythepressurelineshallbefittedwithanisolatingmembraneclosetotheboiler.Thepres

39、sure linebetweenthemembraneandthegaugeshallcontainanoncompressiblefluid. 9.7.3 Steampressuregaugeconnectionsshallbemadesuitableforthedesignworkingpressureoftheboiler. 9.7.4 Pressuregaugesshallbegraduatedtoindicatethepressureinbars.Themaximumallowablepressure shallbeindicatedbyafixedandreadilyvisible

41、8 9.8 Drainandblowdowndevices 9.8.1 Eachboilershallbefittedwithdrainvalvesplacedat,orasnearaspracticableto,thelowestpointofthe apparatus. NOTE Onsomeboilers,drainvalvesmaybeusedforblowdownpurposes. 9.8.2 Wheredrainvalvesfromtwoormoreboilersareconnectedtoacommondischarge,twovalvesshallbe fittedtoeach
