27、eandtest(e.g.filter,filteringfacepiece, powereddevice)untileither: a) aspecifiedbreathingresistanceisreached,or: b) aspecifieddustexposureisreached. 7.2Apparatus Chooseasuitablemountingforthedevice,whichshallbeeitheranadaptororadummyhead.Ifappropriate, checkthatthefitofthedeviceonthemountingisleakti

28、ght.Inallcases,thepressuredropintroducedbythe mountinghastobeconsideredinresults. AtypicalarrangementofthetestequipmentisshowninFigure1.Therecommendeddusttestchamberusedisshown inFigure2.Theworkingareaofthischamberhasasquaresectionof650mmx650mm.Awindowallowsthedevice tobeintroducedintothechamber.The

29、linearspeedandtheparticlesizedistribution(seeFigure3)areessential parametersofthetest,andshallbeverifiedifthegeometryofthedusttestchamberdiffersfromthatdescribedhere andinFigure2. Checkthepressuredropoftheadaptorattherequiredairflow,byrecordingthechangeinpressureorbysettinga newzero. Generatetheaerosolforatleast5minbeforeperformingthetest,inordertoensurethatth

35、eaerosolishomogeneous andthedustconcentrationisconstantbeforethetestisstarted. Passthecontinuousairflowattherategivenintheprerequisitesthroughthedeviceundertestandcontinually monitorthebreathingresistance.Continueuntiltherelevantlimit,eitherbreathingresistanceorcalculatedtesting time,isreached.Calcu

36、latethetestingtimefromtheratiobetweentherequireddustexposureandthemeasured dustconcentration. NOTEForexample,adustexposureat263mgh/m 3 givesatestingtimeof39,5minwithadustconcentrationof 400mg/m 3 . Stopthepumpandcarefullyremovethedevicefromthedusttestchamber.Recordtheamountofdustdepositedat thespeci
