1、COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION RETRACTOR, TRACHEAL, HPP The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-R-36987(1) which is cancelled. This Commercial Item Description covers tracheal retractors suitable for

2、retraction of the trachea in surgical procedures. Salient characteristics: General. of the following types: The retractor shall be of the Hupp design, and be Type I - 1 sharp prong. Type II - 3 sharp prongs. Material. The retractor shall be.fabricated from class 3, type 302 or 304 austenitic corrosi

3、on-resistant steel or class 4, martensitic corrosion-resistant steel in accordance with ASTM F899. A-A-54572 65 = 9999974 0063454 7 A-A-54 572 17 January 1992 Hardness. The retractor shall have a Rockwell hardness (HRB) scale of 75 to 85 for class 3 material and Rockwell hardness (HRC) scale of 40 t

4、o 45 for class 4 material when tested in accordance with ASTM E18 or E92 whichever is applicable. Conversion of hardness values shall be in accordance with ASTM E140. Stvle, desisn and dimensions. The retractor shall be in accordance with Figure 1 or 2 for style, design and dimensions. Finish. The r

The retractor shall no evidence of corrosion or plating of copper when tested for corrosion resistance in accordance with ASTM F1089. Identification markins and labelins. The retractor shall be legibly marked with the contractor

7、s name or registered trademark and the word tlstainlessll. retractors shall bear the name of the country of origin. Foreign manufactured Workmanshia. The retractor shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability. Unit. Each (EA). One retractor, as specified,

8、 constitutes one unit. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. Responsibilitv for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as.specified herein. Except otherwise specified in the contract or purcha

9、se order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are

10、 deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performanc

11、e of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Records. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and

12、 testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Samplinq for examination. 17、tric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, providing they fall within the tolerance specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this document are met. . If a pr

18、oduct is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Requla

If the product covered by this document has been determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be under its jurisdiction , the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with t

In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of all other applicable Federal State, and local stat
