2、s supportr ring. Salient characteristics:The laboratory apparatus support ring shal1 be a closed metal ring suitable foruse with laboratory apparatus support stands having rods Up to 1/2 inch indiameter.Shal1 have.the following dimensions as listed in Table I.TABLE I,0 Outer Oiameter* Inner Diameter

4、s at right anglesto each other to accoinnodatea 1-1/2 inch long thumb screw. The thumb screwsshall be fabricated of a corrosion-resistant metal . Shal1 be designed so thatdifferent diameter rings shall be concentric when clamped to the same support rod.! The distance fran the center of the ring to t

5、he center of the support rod shal1 bea ncminal 4-1/2 inches. Support rings shall ave no sharp edges or castingdefects. One ring, of the size specified, constitutes one unit.Quality Assurance Provisions.Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specifie

8、d in the contract orpurchase order, he contractor 1s responsible.for the performance of all inspectionrequirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract orpurchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for theperformance of the inspection requi

9、rements specified herein, unless disapproved bythe Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspectionsset forth inthe specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assuresupplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.Records. . Records of examinat

10、ions and tests performed by or for the contractorshal1 be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon theGovernment s request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance ofthe contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to whichsu

11、ch records relate.Inpectio;5 InspectIons, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such asvisua or au 1 ory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances orprocedures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemicalproperties) of the item. a71Sampling f

12、or inspection. Sampling for inspection shal1 be conducted inaccordance with MIL-STD-105. Where feasible, the same sample shall be usedfor the determination of two or more inspection characteristics. Unlessotherwise specified, sampling for examination shall be conducted at inspectionlevel S-2, AQL 2.

13、5, and sampling for tests (when applicable) shall be conductedat inspection levelS-1, AQL 1.0.Tests. Tests shal1 be conducted to determine compliance with s edificationrequirements. EWhere feasible, the same sample shall be used for t edetermination of two or more test characteristics.Contractor cer

14、tification. The contractor shal1 certify that the product offeredmeets he saIlent characteristics of this description and conforms to the Droducersown drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. TheGovernment reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to

15、firstdelivery and thereafter as mav be otherwise orovided for under the provisions of thecontrac.Regulatory requirements.Federal Food, Orug and Cosmetic Act. Unless otherwise specified,preservation, packaging, and packing shall be to a degee of protection to precludedamage to

19、containers andlor contents thereof under normal shipping conditions,handling, etc., involving shipment frcm the supply source to the receiving activity,plus reshipment from receiving activity, and shall conform to applicable carriersrules and regulations. Intermediate and exterior package quantities
