This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 198 “Printing and paper machinery Safety” (Secretari

6、at: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-23-01 AA Druck- und Papier-maschinen of Section Druck- und Papiermaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers of print

7、ing and varnishing machines, and of the employers liability insurance association Energie Textil Elektro Medienerzeugnisse (BG ETEM) contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the new “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2

8、006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is

9、deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Stand

10、ards with the same number. Where the International Standards referred to are not also DIN ISO Standards, there are no national standards available. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 1010-1:2005-03 as follows: a) the standard has been brought in line with the new Machinery Directive 2006/4
