25、eratorcannotbesafelymeasuredwithouttheuseofspecial equipment. Since,generally,onlythemanufacturersofweldingmachinesorhighvoltageunitshaveappropriateequipmentat theirdisposal,ithasprovedexpedienttomeasuretheacceleratingvoltageatthemanufacturersworks. NOTEAttentionshouldbepaidtoelectricalsafetylevelsd

26、uringtestingathighvoltagesandtheneedfor appropriatelytrained/qualifiedpersonneltocarryouttests. Apartfromthesesafetyaspects,thetestequipmentshallalsobecapableofmeasuringtheacceleratingvoltageover theentirerangeofbeamcurrentsetting,i.e.withtheweldingparameterssettoconformtoactualweldingconditions.
