Primarily,thisEuropeanStandardcoversthethreemajorsafetyrequirementsforstorageof flammableliquids,whichare: a) minimisingthefirerisksassociatedwiththestorageofflammablesubstancesandprotectionof thecabi

20、netscontentsintheeventoffireforaknown(tested)minimumlengthoftime(firerating); b) minimisingtheamountofvapourreleasedintotheworkingenvironment; c) retentionofaccidentalspillagewithinthecabinet. Testingofthecabinetseea)aboveunderfireconditionsisanormativepartofthestandardandthe proceduresandinterpreta

24、iquidsinlaboratories.Itisapplicabletocabinets withatotalinternalvolumeofnotgreaterthan1m 3 ,whichmaybefreestanding,restrainedtoawall ormountedonwheelsorcastors.Itisnotapplicabletobrickenclosuresorwalkinstoragerooms. ThisEuropeanStandardisnotapplicabletocabinetswhichdonottaketheirweightontheirbase. R
