5、art of BS 6721 has been prepared under the direction of the Non-ferrous Metals Standards Committee. BS 6721 is a multi-part standard and describes methods of sampling and analysis for copper and copper alloys. It is intended that Parts 1 to 3 of BS 6721 will describe methods of sampling copper and c
6、opper alloys in various forms. The remaining Parts will give methods for the determination of individual elements in copper and copper alloys. This Part of BS 6721 is identical with IS0 4749-1984 Copper alloys - Determination of lead content - Flame atomic absorption spectrometric method, published
7、by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Terminology and conventions. The text of the international standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in Britis

To avoid possible confusion users of this Part of BS 6721 should note that the concentration designation c1 which is used in 7.1 to describe the concentration of lead in the lower bracketing solution, is also used in 7.2
11、to describe the concentration of lead in the blank solution. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations.
