Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers a thermoplastic insulation ofpoly(vinyl chloride) or the copol
3、ymer of vinyl chloride andvinyl acetate.1.2 This insulation is recommended for use at conductortemperatures not in excess of 60C in wet or dry locations at amaximum voltage rating of 600 V for power and controlcircuits.1.3 In many instances, the insulation material cannot betested unless it has been
4、 formed around a conductor or cable.Therefore, tests are done on insulated wire or cable in thisspecification solely to determine the relevant property of theinsulation material and not to test the conductor or completedcable.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.
