3、malleable iron flanges, pipefittings, and valve parts, including parts to be assembled for usein railroad, marine, and other heavy duty service applicationswhere fittings furnished in accordance with American NationalStandard for Malleable Iron Threaded Fittings, Class 150 and300 (ANSI B16.3) are no

Process3.1 The castings shall be made in accordance with Specifi-cation A 47.4.

6、 Materials and Manufacture4.1 The sizes, shapes, and dimensions of the fittings, cov-ered by ANSI B16.3 shall conform to the requirements thereinspecified.4.2 Screwed pipe fittings, unions, union fittings, and globeand angle valves that are covered by the various standards andrecommended practices a

7、s issued by the Association of Ameri-can Railroads shall conform to the requirements therein speci-fied.4.3 All pipe threads, unless otherwise specified, shall be inaccordance with ANSI B2.1. (Standards for pipe threads arealso available in Section VI of Screw-Thread Standards forFederal Services.)4

8、.4 Zinc coatings on fittings which are required to begalvanized by the hot-dip process shall conform to the require-ments for Class A castings as prescribed in Specification A 153,except on surfaces where it is the practice to machine aftergalvanizing.5. Manufacture Control and Records5.1 The iron s

9、hall be produced under constant control ofchemical composition and physical properties. Records of thechemical composition of the iron and of the physical propertiesof the test specimens shall be systematically made and main-tained.6. Tests6.1 Tests shall be made when required by the specificationsl

10、isted herein.7. Certification7.1 The manufacturer shall be prepared to certify, uponrequest of the purchaser, that his product conforms to therequirements of this specification.8. Product Marking8.1 The castings shall be marked with the manufacturersname or trademark.8.2 Malleable iron products conf

11、orming to the standards ofthe Manufacturers Standardization Society of the Valve andFittings Industry shall be marked in accordance with SP-25-1936 of that Society.
