4、place this paragraph in its entirety with the fol lowing: “3.1 Description.- The generator set consists of an air-cooled, one cylinder, four stroke cycle, gasoline engine directly operating a 14 pole, permanent magnet generator producing 400 cycle, 115 volt a.c. nominal, a rectifier assembly produci

5、ng 29.3 volts d.c. nominal, an automatic recoil rope starter, control panel, voltage regulator, governor, speed adjuster, mufflers, radio interference suppression components and other devices required to achieve a complete engine generator set; all mounted and arranged for operation within an accous

Paragraph 3.6.4 Engine speed adjustments.- Add “across a 37 ohm resistive load“ to the end of this paragraph. 9. Paragraph 3.7 Generator .- Replace

9、 in its entirety with the following: I “3.7 Generator.- The generator used in conjunction with.the engine shall be of the permanent magnet type without bearings. The total weight of the generatoi shall not exceed 12 1/4 Ibs. The rotor assembly shall be a centrificast unit, employing non-magnetic mag

10、net shields and ci pole shoe damper winding. The rotor shall be dynamically balanced so that at 5000 rpm, the displacement shall not exceed 0.0002 of an inch measured at bearing points of the rotor when it is freely supported. (Not restrained by bearings). The insulating material used in the stator

11、shall be class F, or C (310 F minimum) conforming to Specification MI L-E-917. All parts, materials and processes employed in the generator shall conform to Specification MIL-E-917. The generator shall meet the following charac- teristics: (a) Frequency 4O cycles (b) Poles 14 (c) Speed 3428 rpm . I

12、(d) Output 0.5 KW, single and three phase, in accordance with 4.8.1.1 .I 10. Paragraph 3.8 Electrical Output.- Replace in its entirety with the following: “3.8 Electrical output.- The generator ret shall provide electrical outputs as follows:1 11. Paragraph 3.8.1 A-C power.- Insert the word “set“ af

Paragraph 3.14.2 Add the following paragraph: “3.14.2 Caution labels.- A warning plate shall be affixed to the top of the ensine- generator assembly mount, containing the following information: “WARNING: Engine Stopping

17、 Procedure: Shut off fuel supply from tank to engtne and allow engine ta run until fuel in carburetor and fuel line is consumed. This procedure will eliminate possibility of fuel spillctge from Carburetor when unit is trans- portad and probable fire or explosion when engine is restarted.“ 18. Poragr

During this test, th

24、e temperature of the engine lubricating oil in the crankcase sump shall not exceed 330 F. (See 4.13.2.)“ 26. 33、stic type sprinkling heads shall provide a simulated rainfall of approximately IO inches per hour on the generator set in the operating condition. They shall be pointed up to provide a free fall of approximately 13 feet as measured to the ground. The design of the fixture shall be approved by the pr

34、ocuring agency. The gen- erator set shall be operated at full load throughout the rain test which covers a period of one hour. Immediately sfter this test, the equipment shall be examined for entrapped water and a maximum of i/2 ounce is permissable .I 42 Paragraph 4.13 Temperature rise .- Replace “

35、rise“ with “test“ in this heading. I 43 Paragraph 4.13.1 Generator (only).- Replace in its entirety with the following: 14.13.1 Generator (only).- The temperature test shall consist of measuring the gen- erator frame temperature at a point closest to the windings while the generator is under the l&d

Paragraph 4.19 Oi I consumption test .- Add the fol lowing to the end of this pragrapk. “if the unit fails, the test may be repeated. If the
