In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this document shall take precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supers

12、edes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article Preproduction). The contractor shall furnish a sample unit for first article inspection and approval (4.4). First article sample shall be inspected by the contractor under the survei

13、llance of the Government to determine conformance to the quality assurance provisions of this specification. The first article sample shall be fully representative of units to be supplied fi-om production tooling and facilities. 3.2 Initial production vehicle. Vehicles manufactured at initiation of

14、quantity production shall be inspected, and shall pass initial production inspection(4.2 and 4.4.2). Initial production vehicles shall be representative of vehicles to be fiirnished under this specification and shall include ail current modifications. No modification shall be applied to subsequent v

15、ehicles without prior approval of the Government. 3.3 5.000 mile operational profile. The vehicle shall meet the operational requirements specified in 3.3.1 through 3.3.3 when operated for 5,000 miles, combat loaded (28770 f 200 pounds (LB) gross vehicle weight (GVW), and operated at speeds appropri

16、ate to the terrain as follows: a. 20% hard-surfaced roads b. 40% secondary roads c. 40% cross-country (See 4.7.2) NOTE: During operation on hard-surfaced roads and cross-country, the vehicle shall be capable of towing a vehicle weighing 28770 f 200 LB GVW for 20 miles in each mode. 3.3.1 Reliability

17、. Reliability shall be not less than 850 mean miles between failure (MMBF) during the first 5,000 miles, when operated in accordance with the operational profile (See 3.3). For calculating MMBF, the definition in the M113A2 family 50 mile mission failure scoring criteria shall be used (See 4.7.2.1 a

18、nd 6.9). 3.3.2 Durabilitv. 19、24 324 MIL-C-62747(AT) engine, transmission, or final drives, and without repair or rebuild of the hull, when operated in accordance with the operational profile (See 3.3 and 4.7.2.2). 3.3.3 Maintainabilitv. Total maintenance, excluding driverhew checks and services, shall not exceed 175 man-hours d

20、uring 5,000 miles of operation in accordance with the operational profile (See 3.3). This equates to a Maintenance Ratio (MR) of 0.35 at 10 operational miles, equivalent to one operational hour. The scheduled maintenance interval shall be three months or 750 des, whichever comes first (See 4.7.2.3).

21、 3.4 Materials. The materials shall be as specified herein and in referenced documents. The materials shall be uniform in quality and tree from defects and imperfections that might affect the serviceability and reliability of the finished product (See 4.1.1). 3.5 Oualified products. The contractor s

22、hall be responsible for using parts and assemblies from Qualified Products Lists (QPLs) wherever specified (See 4.1.2). 3.6 Construction. The vehicle shall be constructed in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications and standards. Completed vehicles shall meet all requirements specified he

23、rein, and be of a quality that assures a vehicle free of defects that would compromise, limit, or reduce its performance (See 4.1.3). 3.7 Physical characteristics. 3.7.1 Bearing seals. When fording and operating in mud, sand or snow, seals shall prevent the entrance of foreign matter into the bearin

24、gs that are exposed to contamination during these operations. Bearing seals shall restrict the leaking of lubricants from bearings. Lubricant leakage at static and dynamic seals shall not be in excess of a Class I (See 4.7.6). 3.7.2 Doors and tailgate. The cab and cargo doors and cargo compartment t

25、ailgate shall fit and function without interference or misalignment. Ail seals shall provide positive sealing surface for seal contact and seal adhesion (See 4.7.7). 3.7.3 Windows and covers. The cab side windows, windshield and cab and cargo compartment covers shall fit and function without interfe

26、rence or misalignment. Ail seals shall provide positive sealing surface for seal contact and seal adhesion (See 4.7.8). 3.7.4 Enne. The engine shall conform to MIL-E-62541 and when installed in the vehicle, shall operate throughout all speed ranges without evidence of coolant or he1 leakage. Lubrica

27、nt leakage at static and dynamic seals shall not be in excess of a Class I (See 4.7.9 and 6.6.1). 3.7.5 Engine exhaust system. The fuel tank, lines and connections shall be internally clean prior to initial fueling of the vehicle. The fuel system shall be free of leakage. (See 4.7.11). 3.7.6.1 Fu

29、el system. nrades and sloues. During vehicle operation, the he1 system shall maintain a continuous supply of fuel to the engine when ascending and descending 60% grades in forward and reverse gear, and when the vehicle is being operated on 30% side slopes with either side of the vehicle up-slope (Se

30、e 4.7.11.1). 3.7.6.2 Fuel tank. The fuel tank shall be capable of receiving fuel at the average rate of 25 gallons per 30 seconds and shall be free of leakage. (See 4.7.1 1.2). 3.7.7 Special Kits. Provisions shall be made for installation of special kits including winterization equipment. Special ki

31、ts, when installed, shall fit properly without interference or misalignment and meet applicable environmental and performance requirements specified herein (See 4.7.12). 3.7.7.1 Winterization kit. When installed, the winterization kit shall supplement the personnel heater by providing insulation for

32、 the cab cover assembly to permit vehicle operation in ambient temperatures from minus 25“ F to minus 65“ F. The insulated soft cab cover shall resist the entrance of water, dust and snow. When installed, the engine coolant heater shall assure engine starting and operation in ambient air temperature

33、 fiom minus 25“ F to minus 65“ F. The engine coolant heater shall be capable of operating for a minimum of twelve hours on battery power alone without discharging the battery to a level that would preclude satisfactory starting of the engine (See 4.7.12. i). 3.7.7.1.1 Cab personnel heater kit (secon

34、dary). When installed, the (secondary) cab personnel heater kit shall supplement the (primary) cab personnel heater and insure for personnel and windshield defrosting during operations in ambient temperatures fiom minus 25“ F to minus 65“ F. The insulated soft top cab cover shall resist the entrance

35、 of water, dust and snow (See 4.7.12.1.1). 3.7.7.1.2 Cargo area personnel heater kit (primary). When installed, the (primary) cargo area personnel heater kit shall provide heat for personnel in the rear cargo area in ambient temperatures to minus 25“ F (See 4.7.12.1.2). 3.7.7.1.3 Cargo area personne

36、l heater kit !secondary). When installed, the (secondary) cargo area personnel heater kit shall supplement the (primary) cargo area personnel heater kit during operations in ambient temperatures fiom minus 25“ F to minus 65“ F. The insulated cargo cover shall provide protection for personnel and mat

37、erial in the cargo area in ambient air temperatures to minus 65“ F. 38、lant heater kit. When installed, the engine coolant heater kit shall assure engine starting and operation in ambient air temperature fi-om minus 25“ F to minus 65“ F. The engine coolant heater shall be capable of operating for a minimum of twelve hours on battery power alone without discharging the

39、battery to a level that would preclude satisfactory starting of the engine (See 4.7.12.1.4). 3.7.7.2 Material handling kit. When installed, the material handling kit shall be capable of loading material weighing up to 1500 pounds into the storage area. This kit shall be capable of being mounted eith

40、er left of center, right of center, or in a center location of cargo area without interference (See 4.7.12.2). 3.7.7.3 Machine min - kits (50 cal and 7.62mm). When mounted on vehicle, the machine gun kits shall be capable of supporting the machine gun when firing and allow the gun to rotate 360 degr

41、ees to the left and right without interference (See 4.7.12.3). 3.7.8 Transmission. The transmission shall conform to requirements of ATPD- 2 18 1. When installed in the vehicle, the transmission shall operate throughout all gear ranges without evidence of leakage in excess of a Class I at static and

42、 dynamic seals (See 4.7.13). 3.7.9 Electrical system. 3.7.9.1 Generating system. The generating system, with engine operating at 2,150 f 100 rpm, shall provide 28.0 f 0.5 volts (without load) and 27.3 f 0.3 volts (with 180 f 5 ampere load) at the vehicle batteries per se 4.7.14). 3.7.9.2 Lights. Int

43、ernal and external lights shall operate, and all electrical contacts and connections shall maintain positive contact, under all vehicle operating conditions (See 4.7.15). 3.7.10 Heater. Personnel heater conforming to MIL-H-623 15, when installed, shall start, operate and purge satisfactorily with th

44、e vehicle electrical system and diesel fuel conforming to VV-F-800 (See 4.7.16). 3.7.10.1 Heater exhaust svstem. The heater exhaust system, when installed, shall be fiee of leakage (See 4.7.16.1). 3.7.1 1 Communications and electrical circuits. Communication and electrical circuits shall maintain co

45、ntinuity fiom end to end, without shorts fiom pin to pin or fiom pin to connector shell. (See 4.7.17) 3.7.12 Svstem voltage characteristics. Electrical system voltage characteristics shall fall within the limits for transient and steady state voltage requirements specified in MIL-STD-1275 (See 4.7.1

The vehicle, when operating, shall conform to the requirements for EMVEMC suppression in accordance with emission

47、requirements RE05 and CE07 of MIL-STD46lq Notice 4. The vehicle horn and switching of headlights are excluded (See 4.7.19). 3.7.14 Winch system. When installed, the winch system shall withstand an increasing load with a 11 to 12 foot cable (total length) including three to four wraps of . cable on a

48、 bare drum of up to 24,000 pounds. The load must exceed 14,000 pounds (See 4.7.20). 3.7.14.1 Winch operation. When installed, the winch system shall operate without binding and provide even distribution of cable until the cable is completely reeled in (See 4.7.20.1). 3.7.14.2 Winch structural integr

49、ity. When installed, the winch system shall be capable of withstanding a 20,000 pound load without loss of structural integrity (See 4.7.20.2). 3.7.14.3 Winch controls. When installed, the winch system cab-mounted controls shall engage the power take-off drive for operation of the winch. Manual operation shall permit free spooling of the winch drum (See 4.7.20.3). 3.7.15 Controls. All electrical and mechanical controls shall fiinctionally oper
