Abstract. This

2、 commercial item description covers one type and size of headlamp. It is a heavy duty, round, sealed beam, 12 volt headlamp. The lighting device provides upper and lower beam light used to illuminate the road and its environment ahead of the vehicle. 2. Salient characteristics. 2.1 Headlamp. Unless

3、otherwise specified herein, the salient characteristics and markings for the sealed beam headlamp shall conform to SAE 51383. 2.2 Materials. The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.5). 2.3

The physical and electrical characteristics of the headlamp are as follows: Headlamp - Commercial trade number 6015 Outside diameter - 7 inch/178 mm (PAR 56) Lens color - White (achromatic) Maximum Amps - 5.02 Upper beam, 4.02 Lower beam Rated Volts - DC 12 Watts - 60 Upper beam, 50

This shall be evidenced by the absence of defects which are detrimental to the appearance, serviceability or durability of the headla

9、mp such as: surface deterioration, fractures, color bleeding, deterioration of bonding material, exterior or internal corrosion. 3. Contractor certificatCn. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offerzd meets the salient characteristics of this cornercial

10、 item description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawinqs, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government acceptance. The Government reserves the rignt to require proof of such conformance prior to the fi

Preservation, packaging, packing, labeli

12、ng, and marking. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 5.2). 5. Notes. 5.1 Address for obtaining copies of reference document. SAE 51383, is available from Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc., 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale,

13、 PA 15096. 5.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the following. a. Title, number and date of the Commercial Item Description. b. Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the specific issue of individual documents referenced (see 5.1). c. Part or id

14、entification number PIN (see 5.3). d. Selection of applicable level and packaging requirements (see 4). 5.3 Part or identifying number (PIN). The PIN number to be used for headlamps acquired to this CID is A 52400-6015 (see 5.2). 5.4 Cross-reference data. Headlamps conforming to this document are in

15、terchangeable/substitutable with headlamps conforming to MS18009D (National Stock Number (NSN) 6240-00-752-2424) (see figure 1). 5.5 Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable. 5.6 Me

16、tric product. Headlamps that are to metric dimensions will be considered on the following basis: a. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables c

17、ontained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this CID are riet. dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request should be made t.0 the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. c.
