1、Designation: B299 13B299/B299M 18Standard Specification forTitanium Sponge1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B299;B299/B299M; the number immediately following the designation indicates theyear of original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in
2、parentheses indicates the year of lastreapproval. A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers the purchase of virgin titanium sponge metal. This virgin metal is commonly designated astitanium sponge because it is
3、most commonly porous and sponge-like in texture, although metal produced electrolytically isgranular and is essentially nonporous.1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values given inparentheses are mathematical conversions to SI
4、units that are provided for information only and are not considered stated in eachsystem may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from thetwo systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.3 This international standard
