9、al Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA-70.1.2 These requirements are intended to be used in conjunction with the requirements in the Standard forMolded-Case Circuit Breakers, Molded-Case Switches and Circuit-Breaker Enclosures, UL 489, hereafterreferred to as UL 489, except as modified or supplemented by thi
10、s Outline.2 Components2.1 Except as indicated in 2.2, a component of a product covered by this Outline shall comply with therequirements for that component.2.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characteristic not required in the applicati
11、on of the component in theproduct covered by this Outline; orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this Outline.2.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.4 Specific components are incomplete in construction features or restricted in pe
12、rformance capabilities.Such components are intended for use only under limited conditions, such as certain temperatures notexceeding specified limits, and shall be used only under those specific conditions.3 Units of Measurement3.1 Values stated without parentheses are the requirement. 14、all beinterpreted as referring to the latest edition of that code or standard.5 Glossary5.1 For the purpose of this Outline, the following definitions apply.5.2 PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER A molded-case circuit breakerintended to operate in a photovoltaic (PV) system to provide bra
15、nch circuit overcurrent protection.5.3 PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) CIRCUIT-BREAKER ENCLOSURE A circuit-breaker enclosure intendedfor use in a photovoltaic (PV) system.5.4 PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) MOLDED-CASE SWITCH A molded-case switch intended to operate in aphotovoltaic (PV) system to provide disconnecting means.M
16、OLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKERSCONSTRUCTION6 General6.1 The construction of a PV circuit breaker shall comply with the requirements as specified in Section6.1 of UL 489, except as noted in Sections68ofthis Outline as applicable.6.2 PV circuit breakers shall be considered as single poles for individual P
17、V sources or strings that mayuse multiple sets of contacts in series, unless marked in accordance with 17.5. See also 9.8.7 Spacings7.1 The electrical spacings for PV circuit breakers rated 600V or less shall meet the requirements ofSection 6.1.6 of UL 489. Those PV circuit breakers rated 601 1500V
