5、12 Revised 2015-11 Superseding J1939-3 DEC2008 On Board Diagnostics Implementation Guide RATIONALE SAE J1939-03 was revised based upon ongoing industry discussions with ARB on HD OBD implementations, including US EPAs IM best practices memorandum, the use of 500K communications in 2016MY engines and
6、 SAE J1939-84 experiences for 2013 MY engines. FOREWORD The SAE J1939 series of SAE Recommended Practices has been developed by the Truck and Bus Control and Communications Network Subcommittee of the Truck and Bus Electrical and Electronics Committee. The objectives of the subcommittee are to devel
7、op information reports, recommended practices, and standards concerned with the requirements, design, and usage of ECUs, that transmit electronic signals and control information among vehicle components. The usage of these recommended practices is not limited to truck and bus applications. Other app
8、lications may be accommodated with immediate support being provided for construction and agricultural equipment, and stationary power systems. These documents are intended as a guide toward standard practice and are subject to change to keep pace with experience and technical advances. The SAE J1939
9、-03 On Board Diagnostics Implementation Guide identifies key requirements, guidelines, and recommendations on the design and integration of vehicle networks with service tools that query the vehicle for regulated diagnostics. ARB, US EPA, EU and WWH OBD regulations were considered for the developmen
