SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers an amplifier intercommunicatim system for submarines to provide for the transmission of voice, call signals and electronically generated alarm signals to the various compartments and operating positions in a submarine. The AN/WIC intercommunication system consis

3、ts of microphones, handsets, headsets, loudspeakers, audio amplifiers, signal generators, power supplies, control equipment, wiring junction boxes and test facilities. 2. 26、 This shall be a rectangular metal box to house storage battery BB-420/WICo It shall be designed for bulkhead mounting and shall have a removable cover to permit easy access to the battery. Holes or louvres shall be provided in the case for ventilation. The battery shall be positively secured in the

41、ent Cabinet CY-267l/WIC-2. - 3.2,5.17.1 Cabinet. - The cabinet shall be of formed sheet metal construction with internal supporting frame work. It shall be designed for deck mounting with provision for sway bracing at the top. Cable en- trance8 shall be provided at the top and bottom by means of rem

42、ovable plates of sufficient thickness to mount .etandard Navy terminal tubes. The cabinet shall be dripproof. The front panels of the cabinet shall be func- tionally arranged in descending order from the top as follows: (a) Switch, fuse, and relay panel. (b) Flectrical test, oscillator, and amplifie

43、r stowage panel. (c) Power distribution panel. (d) Power supplies (2). (e) Battery compartment. Louvers shall be provided in cabinet to provide natural ventilation of the battery compartment and in other areas as necessary to provide adequate dissipation of heat from the cabinet.
