SCOPE. This commercial description covers wrecking bars2. CLASSIFICATION. Th

2、e wrecking bars shall conform to the following types.2.1 , Gooseneck and Pinch-Point.2.2 , Offset Claw and Pinch-Point.3, SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.3.1 u0 3.1.1 The bar shall have one end bent in the form of a gooseneck and the opposite end in the formof a pinch point. The gooseneck provided shall hav

3、e a slotted claw suitable for pulling nails. The pinchpoint end shall be wedge shaped and offset at an angle of 30 deees +/- 5 degrees from the longitudinalaxis of the bar. The type I bar shall conform to the table and be similar to figure 1.3.1.2 Type H. The bar shall have the ends offset at an ang

4、le of 30 degrees +/-5 degrees from the.longitudinal axis in opposite directions from each other. Both ends shalI be wedge shapedwids a slottedclaw on one end suitable for pulling nails. T type II bars shall conform to the table and be similar tofigure 2.3.1.3 Type I and II bars. Otherwise meeting th

5、e requirements of this specification may be themanufacturers standard design passing a physical test. A test load value as shown in table 1 for theappropriate size of bar being tested shall be applied to the body at a point 4 inches from one end, with tieopposite end secured. The load being applied

6、shall be perpendicular to the body in a direction as tostraighten the offset or gooseneck. The wrecking bar, after being tested shall indicate no fracture orpermanent set in excess of l/32-inch from the original shape.3.1.4 Material. The material used in manufacturing the bars shall either be tool s

7、teel or art alloy steel. 9、ess, and excessive oxide scale. The body of the barsshall either be painted, or have an oil coated natural finish. The supplier/marrufacturer is encouraged to use recovered mateids to themaximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acqmsltion Regulation(FAR).4.2 Metric products. Products manufact

12、ured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basiswith those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall witiirr the tolerances specified (usingconversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard 376) and all other requirements ofthis document are met. If a

13、 product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceedthe tolerances specified in the inch- pound units, a request should be made to the contracting officer todetermine if the product is acceptable.5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE.5.1 Product Conformance. The products provided shall meet th

14、e salient characteristics of this CommercialItem Description and conform to the suppliers own drawings, specifications, standards and qualityassurance practices, and shall be the same product and offered for sale in the commercial market. Thegovernment reserves the right to require proof of such con

15、formance.5.2 Resuonsibilit for inspection. Unless otherwise specified, the supplier is responsible for theperformance of all inspection requirements and may use any commercial facilities (including thesuppliers own facilities) suitable for performance of the inspection requirements, unless disapprov

16、ed bythe Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any inspections deemed necessary toassure the item conforms to the specified requirements.6. PACKAGING.Requirements of preservation, packing, packaging, and marking of packages shall be as specified in thecontract or order.7. NOTES.(T
