6、ance with the agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement). On the basis of these documents, ESIS TC5 (
8、European Structural Integrity Society) developed a standards proposal. In 1995 work was begun with international participation and, within the framework of the parallel voting procedure at ISO and CEN, the proposal was adopted as a standard. The responsible German body involved in its preparation wa
9、s DIN-Normenausschuss Materialprfung (DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing), Working Committee NA 062-01-44 AA “Impact testing of metals”. Users of this standard should take note of the following: According to investigations made, the precision of the method as set out in this standard will onl
10、y be reached if a pendulum with a 2 mm striker as in ISO 148-2 is used. There is evidence that the reproducibility of results will be impaired in cases where an 8 mm striker as in ISO 148-1 (which is also permitted) is used. This is especially the case when comparing the absorbed impact energy as in
11、dicated by the machine and the impact energy calculated on the basis of the surface integral of a measured force-displacement curve. 13、tion of the force-displacement curves of types A to F described in 9.2 has been given in more detail; d) the procedure to determine the yield force Fgy described in 9.3 has been modified; e) the evaluation of the informative value of the formulae given in Annex C “Formulae for the estimation of the
14、proportion of ductile fracture surface” and formula C.3 have been changed; f) a new normative Annex D “Instrumented Charpy V-notch pendulum impact testing of miniature test pieces” has been added; g) the standard has been editorially revised. Compared with DIN EN ISO 14556:2016-02, the following cor
15、rections have been made: a) in D.2.1, incomplete sentences have been corrected.
