19、avy duty side channel pumps with a nominal pressure of40bar. NOTEDepending on special circumstances, e.g.temperature, materials, sealing of the shaft etc., excess operating pressure need not attain the value of the nominal pressure under any circumstances. 2 Definition For the purposes of this stand

20、ard, the following definition applies. 2.1 side channel pumps liquid pumps which evacuate the inlet pipe and thereby automatically draw in the liquid to be pumped without the aid of ancillary equipment. They must be able to pump a liquid gas mixture with a gas content of at least30% at the suction n

21、ozzle, with steady operation 3 Nominal duty point and main dimensions The nominal duty point and main dimensions appropriate to the relevant pump designation shall be as given inTable 1 and as illustrated inFigure 1. Figure 1 illustrates a pictorial representation of a side channel pump. Pumps to th

22、is standard do not need to correspond to this pictorial representation; only the indicated dimensions and direction of rotation are to be as specified. 4 Hydrostatic pressure test Hydrostatic pressure test: internal pressure test using water. Hydrostatic test pressure shall be1.3times the maximum di

23、scharge pressure but shall not exceed52bar. The relation between cold test pressure and hot operating pressure, or extreme cold operating pressure, shall be the subject of agreement between purchaser and manufacturer. 5 Designation Side channel pumps in accordance with this standard shall be designa

24、ted as follows. The designation incorporates the type of pump, the number of the European Standard, the size and number of stages. Example.
