Scope*1.1 This specification covers metric outside diameter poly-ethylene (PE) pipe made from polyethylene compound thatqualifies
3、 for MRS, HDB and HDS ratings and for PE100 andPE4710 designations. Included are requirements for polyeth-ylene compound, workmanship, dimensions, short-term stressand ductility, long-term stress, marking, quality assurance andverification of joining.1.1.1 Polyethylene pipe in accordance with this s
4、pecifica-tion is intended to be compatible with nominal diameters andnominal pressures in accordance with ISO 161-1 and wallthickness in accordance with ISO 4065.1.2 Pipes produced under this specification are intended forthe pressure or non-pressure conveyance of liquid or gaseousmedia. Pipes produ
5、ced under this specification are not intendedas enclosures for electrical or communications components.See Appendix X1.1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard. No other units of measurement are included in thisstandard.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordan
