Scope1.1 This specification covers a system to identify the anti-coagulants used in coating pipets or container

3、s not exceeding 1mL in volume.1.2 The purpose of this specification is to ensure that if acolor code is used with an anticoagulant, all manufacturers willbe encouraged to use the same code; it is not intended torequire color coding.2. Color Code2.1 The color coding used to identify the anticoagulant

4、 usedin coating the pipets shall be in accordance with Table 1.2.2 Variations in the enamels used and in the methods ofapplication appropriate for pipets made from different types ofglass inevitably result in minor variations of color, and it istherefore not appropriate to specify more closely the c

5、olorsmentioned in the table.3. Dimensions and Permissible Variations3.1 The color code shall consist of a color band 1-3 mmwide which shall completely encircle the pipet in a planeperpendicular to its longitudinal axis.3.2 The location of the color code shall not be more than 20mm from the top of th

6、e pipet.3.3 If other color code bands are used to indicate capacity,they shall be 2-6 mm wide. The anticoagulant color code bandshould be separated with a space of at least 5 mm.
