Scope1.1 This specification covers the pigment commerciallyknown as strontium chromate which is suitable for use in themanufacture of protective or

Composition and Properties3.1 Dry PigmentThe pigment shall be commercially purestrontium chromate-free of extenders and organic material,except for materials introduced to improve those propertie

5、s forwhich the pigment is used. The pigment shall conform to thefollowing requirements:percentStrontium as SrO, min 48Chromium as CrO3,min 47Chloride as Cl, max 0.1Sulfate as SO3, max 0.2Water content, max 0.2Coarse particles (total residue retained on No.325 (45-m) sieve), max1.03.2 The mass color

6、and character of the tint and tintingstrength formed by a mixture with a white pigment shall bewithin mutually agreed upon limits of a standard acceptable toboth the purchaser and the seller when tested in accordancewith Test Method D387.4. Sampling4.1 Two samples shall be taken at random from diffe

7、rentpackages from each lot, batch, days pack, or other unit ofproduction in a shipment. When no markings distinguishingbetween units of production appear, samples shall be takenfrom different packages in the ratio of two samples for each4540 kg or 10 000 lb, except that for shipments of less than10

8、000 lb, two samples shall be taken. At the option of thepurchaser, the samples may be tested separately or afterblending in equal quantities the samples from the sameproduction unit to form a composite sample.5. Test Methods5.1 Tests shall be conducted in accordance with the appro-priate ASTM test m
