Significance and Use4.1 This test method measures the ability of a grout mixtureto retain its mixing water.4.2 It is used for qualifying grout fluidifiers to be used in theproduction of PA concret
6、e.4.3 It may be used to compare the effects of variousadmixtures or materials combinations on the water retentivityproperties of any cement-water grout.5. Apparatus5.1 Extraction Apparatus, assembled as in Fig. 1, includingthe following:5.1.1 Funnel, porcelain Bchner filtering, 111 mm insidediameter
7、 at the perforated plate and 500 mL in volume.5.1.2 Filter Paper, Specification E 832, Type 2, Class G,disk, 11-cm diameter filter paper.5.1.3 Graduated Cylinder, 250 mL cut down to about 130mL.5.1.4 Vacuum Gage or manometer graduated in incrementsof 1 kPa to 100 kPa (30-in. Hg) vacuum.5.1.5 Vacuum
8、Pump or other source of reduced pressure,capable of maintaining a minimum vacuum of 95 kPa (28 in.Hg) on a system having a volume of not less than 1 L.5.2 Stop Watch, having a least reading of not more than 0.2s.5.3 Thermometer, accurate to 0.5C (1.0F), for measuringambient and grout temperatures.6.
9、 Sampling6.1 The test sample shall consist of at least 500 mL offreshly mixed grout representative of grout in the mixer.
