Scope *1.1 This specification co
3、vers wire and rod in the alloys(Note 1) shown in Table 1 and the tempers shown in Table 2Table 3 and Table 4 Table 5, suitable for manufacturingrivets and other similar items by cold-heading operations.NOTE 1Throughout this specification the use of the term alloy in thegeneral sense includes aluminu
4、m as well as aluminum alloy.NOTE 2For rolled or cold-finished wire and rod, see SpecificationB 211, and for extruded wire and rod, see Specification B 221.1.2 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1 H35.1M. The equivalent Unified NumberingSystem alloy designations are those of
5、 Table 1 preceded by A9,for example, A91100 for aluminum 1100 in accordance withPractice E 527.1.3 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys in this specification, see Annex A2.1.4 The values stated in either inch-pound or SI units are tobe regarded separately as stand
6、ard. The SI units are showneither in brackets or in separate tables. The values stated ineach system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each systemmust be used independently of the other.
